The “In-Page” Search Bar

This search bar can be found at the top left of most pages in business central and will filter the records on that page based on the search value. You can search any value on the page that you could filter to.

The "Company" Search Bar

The search bar is located at the top right of your screen, left clicking on it will bring up the search function. Here you can type in the name of a page, report or function and it will return relevant options. 

The search function allows for some shorthand phrases, such as "Bank Rec" for Bank account reconciliation, or alternative names, such as "Jobs" instead of "projects".

Searching Company Data

Searching Company data can bring up specific records from the company you are currently in. It will not search other companies for the data.
