How to Depreciate a Fixed Asset

Before continuing, make sure to check the depreciation book code is as COMPANY in your fixed asset. 

 

Step 1: Click the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner and type “Calculate Depreciation" in the search bar and select the “Calculate Depreciation" option.  

 

Step 2: Enter the required filters as shown in the screenshot below. 

If you want to run depreciation for all assets, leave the No. Filter as blank.

Step 3: Click OK, this will calculate depreciation, and you will be redirected to the Fixed Asset G/L Journal page, with prefilled depreciation lines.

Step 4: Review the lines, and once happy, click on Home tab and then Post to post the depreciation.
